Thank you for that reference. Near as I can tell, these are two different individuals. Lawrence Freund is the major leaguer, coming out of Jeffersonville, Indiana but spending a ton of time in Louisville. He was a stocky and short-tempered man who was constantly running into the law and spent time in jail in 1896 for threatening a police officer with a baseball bat.
The player pictured in Baseball-Reference in the 1911 Lima team is named "Frank B. Friend" and I don't see a connection between the two. Unless someone else has a picture I think Freund might have to go on the Missing Player list.
