Game 84: San Diego Padres vs. Boston Red Sox

A tight battle today, as this one went down to the bottom of the 9th inning for the walk-off win. On the day, the Boston Red Sox (47-37) overcame an early deficit to prevail over the San Diego Padres (45-43) by a 5 to 4 score. The announced crowd was 32,845 in attendance.

Taking the mound for Boston was Brayan Bello. While he did not record a decision, he provided 6 innings of work in which he permitted 3 earned runs on 9 hits and 4 walks; Game Score 41. The struggles of Ryne Stanek continue, as he allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits and 1 walk in 2 innings of play. Liam Hendriks (4-3) picked up the win for his scoreless inning of relief.
