Posted several threads recently on two other forums and it seems that the talent level on my active rosters are much better than the reserve rosters, therefore aging players still have much better ratings than the reserves, there they continue to stay active.
The solution is for me to manually control the reserve rosters. That's more work than I want to do, but I guess I have no choice.
Just played an exciting All-Star Game... will report on it soon... it was a shootout.
