6/2: at Marlins ... W 5-4 ... Taglia hit a two-run homer in the ninth, and Halvorson saved it, his third of the year!
6/3: at Marlins ... W 11-6 ... took 6th inn lead off Bouchard Grand Slam, scored two more in the seventh as insurance. Tovar 4-5, two 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI
6/4: at Marlins ... L 1-7 ... all seven runs came in the third, fourth and fifth as they outhit us 12-4.
6/6: vs. Mets ... L 3-9 ... the game was over less than a third of the way through, had to blow five bullpen arms to finish it.
6/7: vs. Mets ... L 0-1 ... Syndergaard gave up the run in the second, they outhit us 8-3 and yet we still had a chance ... and lost anyway.
6/8: vs. Mets ... L 0-9 ... back to back shutouts, just absolutely brutal, were only outhit 7-4 but gave up nine runs including five in the seventh.
6/10: vs. Giants ... L 3-6 ... scoreless streak ended after 26 blank innings, but the result was the same ... a one-run game blew up with four Giants runs in seventh.
6/11: vs. Giants ... W 5-4 (12th) ... tied it 4-4 in the bot of seventh off an E7 error, walked it off bot of 12th with a double by Tovar!
6/12: vs. Giants ... L 1-4 ... game was close until we gave up two runs in the top of the ninth, matched them on hits 6-6 but couldn’t hit in clutch.
6/13: at Braves ... W 3-0 ... scored three in the third and held them off the rest of the night! Syndergaard (1-3, 3.42 ERA) got the win, Jake Bird with his first save.
6/14: at Braves ... L 0-1 (10th) ... game was scoreless through nine, then the pinch-runner scored off a single by Jurickson Profar. Drug test! Drug test!
6/15: at Braves ... L 2-12 ... was a blowout from the first inning, trailed 2-9 within four innings. We’re just running out of gas.

Midway through the month we’re at 16-55 and still around 28.5 games out of the divisional race. That keeps us on pace for around 36 wins heading into a four-game series in Washington against the 28-44 Nationals, with just 25 games left before the All Star break (and 22 left before we draft on July 11th).
