George McQuinn will be a decent first baseman for the Yankees if he stays, but he's not The Iron Horse (then again, very few baseball players could compete with the Iron Horse)...
Lou Gehrig, regardless, should make it into the Hall of Fame, being involved in most of the Yankees' championship teams and a very good player in TTL. (And, even for a Red Sox fan, why he retired is one of the saddest things ever, IMO...)

Lou is a first-ballot lock, don't worry about that.
The big plus for the Yankees in this timeline is, on top of all their natural talent and financial wherewithal, they have a good AI manager running them who keeps picking up the right players to complement the historical ones they are either getting by default or with my intervention. It's exactly how I wanted this save to do, highlight the Sox-Pinstripes rivalry (or lack thereof).
Ray Campbell and
Onnie Robinson.
The third,
Jésus Valenzuela, brings up a funny glitch in the game when you have the color bar on. Because the color bar only blocks players designated "African" facial type, some designated "Hispanic" who were barred in real life sneak through. Not sure if that applies to Jésus but he spent almost his entire career playing in the Mexican League.
