The big plus for the Yankees in this timeline is, on top of all their natural talent and financial wherewithal, they have a good AI manager running them who keeps picking up the right players to complement the historical ones they are either getting by default or with my intervention. It's exactly how I wanted this save to do, highlight the Sox-Pinstripes rivalry (or lack thereof).

Yankees fans would be even more thrilled to be in this timeline than in real-life. After Joe DiMaggio, you have Mickey Mantle (and the game doesn't account for his drinking and injuries--without which he likely gets close to Ruth in terms of home runs, IMO)...
Oh, and there's also Whitey Ford and the other players of the 1950s (including Yogi Berra). One player who won't start as a Yankee is Roger Maris (his debut team was the Cleveland Indians), but, given the AI manager you discussed, he likely winds up there at some point...
Oh, and I'm sure Phil Rizzuto will have a lot of reasons to say "Holy cow!" in TTL...
Just hoping the Sox do better than they did in real life during this period...
