Montreal Expos, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander.

With scoring opportunities rare, the
Eagles had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when first baseman
Nicolá Gardini hit a run-scoring single. The single came off
Brett Asselin and made the score 3-2,
Eagles.

Montreal and
Cincinnati duked it out and the
Expos came out victorious.

Austin Roy had a large part in his team beating the
Cincinnati Eagles, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Getting the save was
Kevin Cowden, his 4th.
The
Expos got a big at-bat from right fielder
Ian Messer. For the game,
Messer was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave
Montreal a 2-0 lead.
"Today was a lot of fun," said

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the
Montreal Expos and
Calgary Beavers.
Dave Grochowski was a major factor in the 12-2
Montreal win over
Calgary. The
Expos first baseman hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Picking up the win was
Sam Griffin. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 1.
Glen McKeen picked up his 2nd save of the season.
Montreal used the hitting of
Matt Talbert to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the
Expos on top, 5-2. For the game,
Talbert had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats. A regular at DH now, the 25-year old is batting .261-8-17 .802OPS 0.3WAR in 46 games.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said

Matt Talbert had a big run-scoring double for the

Expos ahead, 2-0.

Montreal first baseman

Calgary Beavers.
Grochowski, who is tied for 2nd in the EL with a .363 batting average, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the
Expos.
Montreal has now won 5 straight, while the
Beavers have lost 4 in a row.
Early in the game,
Grochowski had a 2-run home run for
Montreal. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the
