Ron D. Johnson 1982 (and in 1984)

Very elusive shots of this 22-game big leaguer who had five plate appearances over two weeks with the 1984 Expos and naturally one of them was with George Brace at Wrigley Field.

This bat-on-shoulder image has a history longer than the later-to-be-popular-coach's career. It is, in fact, RE-colorized. Many of Brace's more obscure subjects were literally re-photographed, in black and white, with extreme care and skill, by the Illinois collector and postcard expert Jim Rowe. Those negatives wound up in the hands of an eBay dealer. I managed to get a couple of the scarcer guys and King Photo Shop the 1st (Bob Wong) restored them to their original glory.

The batting shot? That was in the Big-Pile-of-Braces, as were the two shots of Ron Johnson as a rookie, at Comiskey, with the 1982 Royals.
