MLB news: Sept. 29 -- Rangers clinch AL West Division crown
With a 3-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Texas Rangers have earned the championship of the American League West Division.
At 84-73, the Rangers lead both the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners by six games with five contests left in the regular season.
The postseason berth is the third in the last four years for Texas.
The Rangers reached the World Series in 2023, defeating the Diamondbacks.
