A 5-2 win over the Miami Marlins allowing the Detroit Tigers to edge out the Cleveland Indians for the American League Central Division title by a single game.
The Tigers (83-79) are back in the postseason for the first time since 2024.
Detroit's last trip to the World Series came in 2012, when it lost to the San Francisco Giants.
You have to go back to 1994 to find the last World Series title for Detroit.
That season, the Tigers defeated the San Diego Padres in five games.
