MORGANTI HIT STREAK ENDS AT 40 GAMES
CF GOES 0/4 IN HOME LOSS TO MARYLAND B.C.

PHILADELPHIA (June 17, 1874) - Unfortunately, just as the Hitting Streak of Quaker State CF Ned Morganti had begun to reach a historical length it has come to an end.

Quaker St. lost the opening game of their Week Six series at home to Maryland by the score of 13-9 on Wednesday afternoon, and as part of the loss Morganti did reach base. However, that was via Base on Balls and with the bat he was 0/4, ending his Hitting Streak at an even forty games in length.

Morganti’s 0/4 also lowered his Batting Average to .398, which amazingly isn’t the highest on his own team as Quaker St. teammate Gerhardt Berg is currently batting .398 (.886 OPS) through Quaker St.’s first 26 games.

Maryland (17-9) moved to within half a game of Coastal Championship leaders Trenton United with the victory. Quaker St. (14-11) is alone in 3rd place and three games behind the leaders.
