Game 1:
Game 2:
Ober had a pretty good Rays debut but wasn't pitch-efficient in lasting only 5 and the bullpen (along with a Kim error) made sure it wasn't a winning one. The Puk injury is minor, he'll just miss a couple days.
Game 3:
Not great to lose 2 of 3 to the cellar-dwelling White Sox as the bullpen struggled again in the loss.
As a result we've fallen 7 behind the Yankees in the division and 2 behind Boston for WC1 although we're still up 3 1/2 on Toronto for WC3 as right now the AL East would send 4 teams to the playoffs. Next up: A day off then 3 games in Cincinnati.
MLB News: A flurry of minor trades mostly involving relievers with the most notable seeing Baltimore send Yennier Cano to St. Louis. Elsewhere Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna hit career homer #300 and Kansas City's Seth Lugo, who had a breakout season last year, has seen his 2025 end with shoulder inflammation.
