31 year old Andy Araujo won the Cy Young for me in LA back in 1987 going 21-6 with a 2.37 ERA as a 24 year old. After 2 more solid years, he blew his elbow out on his last start in 1989 and missed all of 1990 as a UFA. He signed for Baltimore and played in AAA in 1991 and most of 1992. The Rockies took him in the expansion draft and he went 10-14 with a 3.49 ERA with a fantastic 4.9 WAR.
He should have been able to get a better deal, but we got for 1 year at $700,000. Re-united and hopefully a #2 or #3 guy.
I think we have a shot at a decent rotation
