Game 1:
Game 2:
What a remarkable game for
Brandon Lowe. He became the fifth player in MLB history and first since Jose Altuve to homer in each of the first three innings of a game and he set the club single-game record for RBI with 9, breaking Ben Zobrist's record of 8.
Game 3:
Unfortunately the Rays weren't able to complete the sweep as the finale was one of those games they kept coming up short in, leaving 8 on base and having 3 more thrown out attempting to steal. At least we have the sight of
Junior Caminero chugging around the bases with an inside-the-park homer.
As things stand the Rays remain in WC2, 2 1/2 up on Detroit which in turn is 1 1/2 up on Toronto. Next up: A day off then a short trip to the "other" Bay Area as we play 3 against the Giants in San Francisco.
MLB News: Veteran reliever Tommy Kahnle announced his retirement and Austin Riley had a 3-homer game against Mets for Atlanta on the same day Lowe hit his trio.
