You may have noticed (you did, didn't you?
) that I have said nothing about this current Subway Series. It's a reflection of two things:
- My desire to move toward pan-sports (pan as in "all", not "trash") and away from parochial rooting. (You guys stick to that, please.) This would help with,
- the fact that the Yankees stink. The Giants and Jets stink. I cannot give a rodent's rear end about the Rangers and Islanders. I cannot get into the Nets even though I actually share an island with them. And the Knicks just fired their head coach even though he produced their best season in 25 years, completely spoiling everything. (I am drawn to the Liberty, but I aim to kibosh that in favor of the WNBA as a whole.) As for the NYCFC (I hope Boomcoach does not read this), watching soccer to me is like watching paint dry.
Heh, as usual, my typing 2. made me feel better and added impetus to be pan-sports. I am watching today's Yankees-Mets game for the baseball and nothing better is on right now. Sniff.
