Rockingham roughs up Red Robins
By Chase Murphy | The Robesonian Summer Intern | July 5
Fourth of July hangover? Maybe. Red Springs pitcher
Dave Colvin had his worst performance of the season, and the Red Robins suffered a 7-3 loss at Rockingham on Saturday.
Colvin gave up six runs before being pulled in the second inning. While the Robins' usually shaky bullpen gave a strong outing - just three hits and a run surrendered over the final six frames - Red Springs didn't produce nearly enough offense to rally.
Rockingham second baseman
Larry Fette carried the biggest bat for the Eagles. He hit a home run and scored twice.
Game three between the Red Robins and Eagles will come Sunday, July 6 at Rockingham
