The St. Louis Cardinals have learned that right fielder Lawrence Butler and shortstop Masyn Winn have been named as reserves to the National League All-Star team.
It is the third straight All-Star appearance for the 26-year-old Butler and his second as a Cardinal.
In 86 games/82 starts this season, Butler has hit .284 with 24 home runs, 64 RBIs and 58 runs scored.
He has reached base at a .368 percentage and is slugging .558.
It will be the first All-Star game for the 25-year-old Winn.
In 80 games/75 starts this season, Winn has hit .257 with two home runs, 29 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
Winn has gotten on base at a .309 and has a .356 slugging percentage.
