PRIME IPA AWARDS ANNOUNCED FOR 2089 SEASON
The major honor bestowed by the Islandian Pro Alliance is the Pro Cup Trophy, presented annually to the team that wins the Pro Cup Series. That cherished prize went to the South Fork Stallions this year. Now it is time to present the prime IPA awards for the Golden Bats, Golden Arms, Rookies of the Year, Managers of the Year and the Golden Glove winners.
In the Ruthlandian Union this year's Golden Bat went Forest City left fielder Willie Collingham. The Golden Arm was given to Valmara hurler Arjan Huntsman. Marston left fielder Glen Chatsworth was named Rookie of the Year and the RU Manager of the Year went to Primo Sirak of the Valmara Vipers.
In the Tycobbian Union the Golden Bat recipient was first baseman Terrence Stonich of the Rolling Hills Racers. Jandamara Spencer, pitcher for Tuckanarra got the Golden Arm. The top TU Rookie Award was given to Rolling Hills shortstop Duke Watson and the best skipper trophy was awarded to South Fork manager Jay Murphy.
2089 Ruthlandian Union Honorees
RU Golden Bat Award: 1st place Willie Cottingham of Forest City, who beat out Lee Drummond of Rocky Rapids and Pete Pettavina of Beechwood.
RU Golden Arm Award: 1st place Arjan Huntsman of Valmara, who edges out Thomas Tate of Forest City and Reggie Davis of Wynnamac.
RU Rookie of the Year Award: 1st place Glen Chatsworth, who outpolled Cletis Woodson of Eastshore and Arjan Huntsman of Valmara.
RU Manager of the Year Award: 1st place Primo Sirak of Valmara, runner-ups were Fred Hahn of Claxton, Malcolm Tansbury of Eastshore and Randy Snow of Forest City.

TU Golden Bat Award: 1st place Terrence Stonich of Rolling Hills, followed by Byron Bennington of Mahaska and Yank Yankovich of South Fork.
TU Golden Arm Award: 1st Place Jandamara Spencer of Tuckanarra, followed by Ike Vretsos of East Point and Joren Vorenzee of Summerland.
TU Rookie of the Year Award: first place honor went to Duke Watson of Rolling Hills, second place to Jojo Aguilera of Arroyo Grande and third place to Alex Sanderson of Southport.
TU Manager of the Year Award: first place Jay Murphy of South Fork, second place was Maury Statler of Oxford and third place to Jayson Hallstrom of Summerland.
