The
Montreal Expos beat the
Memphis Bolts, 8-7, at Olympic Stadium. The win was due in part to designated hitter
Matt Talbert, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said
Talbert. "And not try to do too much." Celebrating his birthday today, he is batting .274-20-58 .826OPS 1.2WAR in 106 games.

Montreal now has a record of 72-41 with the win.
Roy, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 12-5. In 8.1 innings of work,
Roy gave up no runs on 1 hit, while racking up 9 Ks. He kept the
Bolts punchless, offensively.
"I felt like I had pretty good command of mostly everything," said
Roy. That being said,
Montreal still took a hit as RHRP
Austin Williams left the game with what would later be diagnosed as an

Jacksonville Patriots at Olympic Stadium. The final score was 3-1. The Eastern League North East Division-leading
Expos have a record of 74-43.

Expos had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1,
Montreal, with two out.
Jacksonville, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat.
Kevin Jones dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 sinker, he grounded out.
