I want a comeback from yesterday. Losers. In an ‘unfortunate’ turn of events for
Seattle, they not only managed to strand two baserunners against
Chris Archer who we singled out as our game 2 starter by tossing a coin, they also lost their lefty after one batter with some arm discomfort and had to go to their pen right away.
In a stunning decision, manager Eric Wedge brought in
mike Ekstrom again who already threw 27 pitches yesterday and runs around with an uninspired 4.44ERA… one would guess that’s our ticket to score right? Well scoring happened, but not that way as
Chris Archer was a hot mess and was the next pitcher to get beaten by
Chris Taylor for a single. A sac bunt later,
Taylor was at second and
Rangers castoff
Daniel Murphy took the liberty to deposit one in the right field bleachers. SEA 2 TOR 0 after three.
In a stunning way, the
Mariners kept on throwing bad relievers at us, and those guys kept us silent as lefty
Cesar Jimenez(4.66) struck out the side in the fourth and left after three scoreless innings of 7K ball… PATHETIC BUNCH OF LOSERS. While the playoff commentators from FOX described the
Blue Jays hitters as ‘overeager’, ‘antsy’ and ‘offbalance’,
Archer settled in and came into a rhythm, getting the handshake after
Saunders flew out to end the top of the seventh.
Showing a little bit of progress,
Eugenio Suárez got our third hit of the night in the bottom half and was able to get to third before
Avsail Garcia made a pathetic out, but the truth is, despite two strong scoreless innings by
Mike Bishop… we never managed another hit.
