While the generated pictures are of stunning quality, more often than not, facially they don't really look like the people in the originals. I've played with different prompts but have not come up with any that give consistently good results.


That said, the speed with which the technology is advancing is impressive so I look forward to the time where I will want to use these apps on a regular basis. It's a double-edged sword though. I think we'll get to the point where when doing an image search on the internet, it will be next to impossible to differentiate between real and fake.
The line between real and fake during Google searches is what I'm primarily concerned with, especially for novice baseball researchers. I can envision a journalist googling players for a story and accidentally using fake AI photos. Technology is a blessing and a curse.
