Financial Update
As we get closer to the start of the season, I have reviewed the team's financial state as of this moment.
As a reminder, you have $246,000,000 available for the total team expenses for the season.
International Amateurs
We just completed our monthly private practice with many young international amateur free agents who we hope can aid our club in the coming years. It was great to meet the players in-person and get to know them better, and I was able to improve my scouting assessment on all invitees.
None of the players exceeded my previous expectations.
However, a few invitees left me disappointed as they did not appear to match my previous assessment, although they may still end up being future stars:
Reinhold Dittrich, 16 year-old CF out of Germany
Lean and athletic, Reinhold Dittrich hails from Rostock, Germany. He projects to have good plate discipline. He is average with his bat. He projects to be a solid hitter, with some pop. Dittrich is a reliable hitter in the organization's grand scheme.
Jorge Sordelli, 17 year-old CF out of Venezuela
Lean and athletic, Jorge Sordelli hails from Caucagüita, Venezuela. He has shown signs of raw power that may eventually deliver over-the-fence distance. He hits with his hands, stays inside the ball, and works it up the middle. His speed grades out as average and he should steal an average number of bases each year. Sordelli is an above average, everyday big league player.
Transactions
The Giants miss out on several of their top targets but secure 3B Ramiro Corona as their sole International Amateur in 2053. Corona is an average glove but profiles plus-plus contact and eye to go with plus gap power and speed which could make him an elite lead off hitter. He is an old 17 and is close to being ready for the DSL, Stewart will check in again just before the season to see whether to move him into professional baseball this season.

Signed international amateur 3B Ramiro Corona out of Dominican Republic to a minor league contract with a $5,230,000 signing bonus.

Signed international amateur SP Daniel Cervantes out of Dominican Republic to a minor league contract.
Hall of Fame
One new addition to Cooperstown is the result of the 2053 Hall of Fame elections as SS Josh O’Neill receives 76.8% to sneak over the line in his second year. Bobby Witt Jr. has another 65%+ result but is down to two chances to get to 75%. Brad Nicastro polls 65% in his first year on the ballot and will have a real chance in the coming years to be enshrined.
