The St. Louis Cardinals have announced a pair of personnel changes naming A.J. Preller as their general manager while Dom Konieczki will be the team's new pitching coach.
Preller, who has spent the past three seasons in the same role with the San Diego Padres, replaces Chaim Bloom who was let go after the 2027 season.
Bloom had led the Cardinals' front office since the 2025 season.
This is the first time in the majors for the 58-year-ol Konieczki.
He takes over for Victor Diaz, who headed the team's pitching staff from 2025 to 2027.
