Cards news: March 16 -- Broken bone in elbow will sideline OF Walker for up to seven months
The St. Louis Cardinals have learned that outfielder Jordan Walker will miss from six to seven months after he suffered a broken bone in his elbow in a base running collision during a 6-3 spring training loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on March 15.
A long-time prospect for the Cardinals, the 25-year-old Walker had his best season in 2027 when he hit .276 with 12 home runs and 75 RBIs in 140 games/138 starts.
Walker broke into the majors in 2023, and since that time has played in 599 games/584 starts and hit .246 with 64 home runs and 269 RBIs.
