So Scott Harris comes out and says the price for Suarez was too high. Great narrative until he goes to Seattle for rental prices. Which is probably the bigger issue. Harris may not have the clout with other GM's to be able to get deals done with them. DiPoto in Seattle get two infield bats for something like five prospects outside of their top 10. Detroit has a better farm system than Seattle as well. However, DiPoto has strong relationships with several GM's allowing him to make all those moves.
If you can't get a 3B then see what Boston wants for Duran. It's not like you are getting any production out of CF since Baez of all people went back to the infield. Bednar would soften the blow a bit but they need another bat and to be honest could use another guy in the rotation.
