Game 4: Easy Town 4, Bunker Hill 3

Easy Town Walks Off Association Semifinal Round

Fans at Easy Town Field saw the Association Semifinal Round come to a close today, as the Easy Town Assaultrons defeated the Bunker Hill 75ers by a score of 4-3, and advanced to the Association Championship Series.

Halep Gutteridge got a leadoff pinch hit single off Trauma Medley and advanced on a wild pitch. Newt Jordan reached on Miko Miko's error where he was unable to cleanly field a ground ball, putting runners at first and second with no outs. Figgie Legendsport hit into a fielder's choice, allowing Gutteridge and Jordan to advance to third and second, respectively. After an infield in ground out made it two away, Finnan Hunt smoked the first pitch he saw into right field, allowing Gutteridge to trot in for the walkoff game and series win.

"I wanted to take a break tomorrow," Hunt said. That Bunker pitcher laid a fat fast ball down the pipe, and I got what I wanted. A hit." The hit was Hunt's fifth in the series but only RBI.

The Easy Town Assaultrons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Malden Grognaks - Concord Radstags series. Malden leads the series 2 games to 1.
