We were .500 the rest of the way and finished 1994 with a 74-88 record, a 10 game improvement from our expansion season. We ended up 13th in runs, but we had a few bright spots

Despite missing 5 weeks, 1b Jeff King had a hell of a year. He hit .296/.343/.537 with 30 HR and 102 RBI, hitting his 30th in game 162. Just a 2.1 WAR, which was 9th in the NL, but he was 5th in HR and 4th in RBI and slugging in the NL amongst first basemen.

25 year old Cris Colon had a really solid year. He started 32 games at second, 14 at third and 52 games at short and compiled .287/.308/.423 with 8 HR and 68 RBI in 397 AB. He has a solid glove at all 3 positions and should play plenty next year

Daniel Varnell did what he does....he hit for high average and struck out too much. His first year as a starter he hit .319/.364/.425 in 550 AB with 5 hr and 44 doubles and scored 85 runs hitting 1st and 2nd all year. Only a broken rib with 5 games to go kept him from leading the league in striking out with 149. He isn't a great fielder, so I really don't know how much he adds to the lineup despite a WAR of 2

Kevin Reimer was healthy all year and hit a solid .291/.332/.457 in center while playing good defense. 14 HR and 49 doubles helped him knock in 82 runs. Kevin Seitzer came over after 60 games and hit .287/.357/.387 in 92 games and will likely hit at the top of the lineup next year.

We still have lots to sort out, we don't have any prospects that can help next year. With the 4th pick this year, we may get lucky and get a player MLB ready. (This sim has way too many 19 year olds who are MLB ready)
