NWL Players of the Year
With the conclusion of the 2316 season, we know that the league is down to its final three seasons. Still, the NWL has had some outstanding players. Maybe not CBO-quality players, but still good professional baseball. Let's look at the best of the best for 2316.
Nuka King - The manager of the Victory Cave Crickets said he thinks A-Train Gilmore is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 23, but it will be hard to top the center fielder's 2316 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Nuka World League Nuka King Award.
His winning campaign featured a .330 batting average and a .410 on-base percentage this year. In 90 games he piled up 110 hits, 22 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 51 RBIs and 93 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Roz McBerger of the Quartz Star Force finished second in voting, while Yorkie Tallsky of the Orange Tourists finished third.

Manager - Cop Diaz celebrated a successful season with the Victory Cave Crickets by hosting team officials and select media at a Victory area first-class eatery. But when he first came to town, the 2316 Nuka World League Manager of the Year was met with a good measure of skepticism.
"Very few people believed in our ballclub when I got here. It just goes to show you that a bunch of talented ballplayers playing together can make any old manager a genius," a modest Diaz joked, not fully recognizing his own stature in the baseball community.
However, baseball journalists duly noted his managerial skill as he skippered the Cave Crickets to a 55-35 record this year and a first place finish in the North Bradberton Division.
Nuka Thirst Zapper - At the age of 22, Areo Hotah says he still has a lot to learn about life in Nuka World League.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Grape Painted Ghouls reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2316 Nuka World League Nuka Thirst Zapper Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the
Dudley, Massachusetts native said.
For the season, Hotah had 22 saves in 34 relief appearances, which totaled 37.2. He fanned 27 betters, while walking 9 and put up a record of 4-1 to go with his 1.43 ERA.

Manager - An outstanding season by the Fog Crawlers garnered their manager Greg Hammerberg the Vim! League Manager of the Year award for 2316. He led Dalton Farm to a 58-32 record this year and a first place finish in the Vim! League Fog Division.
Even so, Hammerberg seemed less than thrilled. "I don't give a darn about the award," he growled to reporters, "I just want this team to win championships!"
