Offseason of Retirements

Four players retired and had their numbers retired as well. Those four with jersey number and team that is retirning their number are: SP Sheng Kawolski, 7, Diamond City; CF Aesed Hayjen, 12, University Point; SP/1B Lannie Tykeson, 13, Easy Town; and Ben Pawlak, 3, Fort Hagen.

Last season, we mentioned that few of the CBO Inaugural Draft's 1st Round remained. Well, that number has dwindled more with Kawolski, Millioncap Go, and David Seaweed all calling it quits. That leaves RP Aaron Geneva (Oberland), RP Brent Hooker (Spectacle Island), and IF Ben Pettinato (no team) as the only remaining from the 2296 class 20 years ago.

Goodneighbor Update

The Hancocks have decided to update their jerseys with slight changes to the look, though the colors are mostly the same as before. Two of their players modeled the new look.

CBO Noteworthy News

There are a few changes happening through the CBO universe for different teams. We will break down everything happening, but here are a few tidbits with dates as needed:

* Quincy - Commissioner Nate Howard has stated that a Monday, January 1, announcement of the new ownership group for the Quincy Gunners franchise will take place. The newly-crowned champions are for sale, as noted by owner Smiling Larry, who turned 80 this year. While the groups are not public at this time, there have been rumors that all bids have been submitted. A discussion with Smiling Larry and a CBO group will make that final call and be prepared for the proper marketing. Howard has stated that the Quincy franchise is locked in, so none of the groups expected to be a part of expansion are eligible for bidding nor relocation.

* Bunker Hill and University Point - The 75ers and Deathclaws swapped their BMU affiliates with the Rockland Snipers now being the A-level minor league team for Bunker Hill and the Charles View Cannibals now being affiliated with the Claws at the A-level.

* Malden - An anonymous expansion group has purchased the Super Mutants team name from the Grognaks, meaning that their Bedford team gave up the name. Malden then purchased the rights to the Beaneaters name from the CYL's Northampton team. That Northampton team will now be known as the Top Hats with the costs of changing their school logos, colors, and uniforms paid for by Grognaks' owner Paladin Danse.

* Oberland - October 5 - While on a team outing west of Bradbury, a group of T-51s players was attacked by a swarm of flying ants. One player, Homestay Lovetap, supposedly suffered allergic reactions to the bites, causing him to be placed in an intensive care facility at the Happy Pappy Clinic in Bradberton. Aksoka Tano is all considered to be in serious condition but his are supposedly from the injuries instead of a reaction. Four other players, Joe Malone, Cora Harper, Foo Fieterz, and Dave Pain, are all also hospitalized, though their conditions are listed as "mild."

Howard has stated that the Quincy franchise is locked in, so none of the groups expected to be a part of expansion are eligible for bidding nor relocation. * Bunker Hill and University Point - The 75ers and Deathclaws swapped their BMU affiliates with the Rockland Snipers now being the A-level minor league team for Bunker Hill and the Charles View Cannibals now being affiliated with the Claws at the A-level. * Malden - An anonymous expansion group has purchased the Super Mutants team name from the Grognaks, meaning that their Bedford team gave up the name. Malden then purchased the rights to the Beaneaters name from the CYL's Northampton team. That Northampton team will now be known as the Top Hats with the costs of changing their school logos, colors, and uniforms paid for by Grognaks' owner Paladin Danse. * Oberland - October 5 - While on a team outing west of Bradbury, a group of T-51s players was attacked by a swarm of flying ants. One player, Homestay Lovetap, supposedly suffered allergic reactions to the bites, causing him to be placed in an intensive care facility at the Happy Pappy Clinic in Bradberton. Aksoka Tano is all considered to be in serious condition but his are supposedly from the injuries instead of a reaction.
