Week 11 - May 30th – A Nailbiter Win Splits the Series with Minnesota 2-2
I told Schieber after the game that he sure knows how to entertain and keep the crowd in suspense, but I don’t need that kind of excitement! We all had a great laugh and got on the plane to head home, but man, I was out of my mind in the dugout thinking we were going to lose this one, too! I’m extremely glad we didn’t!
Game Summary – May 30th – Kansas City Beats Minnesota, 5-4
The Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins, 5-4. Kansas City pitcher and Guacara, Venezuela, native Carlos Hernandez led the way. Getting the save was John Schreiber, his 3rd. At 25-33, the Royals claim 4th place in the American League Central Division. Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from Nick Pratto to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Royals ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Carlos is as tough as he is talented," said Kansas City manager Todd "BigP" Pollard.
