A bunch of Bluefield players announced their retirements.
Jorge Alcala. Career independent minor leaguer who signed a contract with the Jays back in April.
Darling Cuesto. Low level minor leaguer with a few organizations. Came to the Jays from the Marlins in the trade that brought Greg Nappo.
Evan Holland. Drafted by the Nationals and got as high as AA. Came to the Jays in 2021 as part of the trade that brought Ryan Moseley.
Jacob Evans. Made it to AAA at one point, but mostly had a series of minor league contracts. Signed with the Jays only in August.
Tim Flight. Mostly an Independent player. Signed with the Jays back in April.
Angher Cespedes. Bounced around Independent ball. Signed with the Jays in April.
Mario Adames. Joined the Jays from the Rays in the Martin Gonzalez trade back in 2018. Was released the same year. He played Independent ball until being resigned by the Jays in July.
Joel Belboder. Signed by three different Major League organizations out of independent ball. The Jays singed him 2022 and again in April of this year.
Steve Ascher. Released by the Rays in 2018, played Independent ball until the Jays signed him back in July.
