Would ya look at that .... Windy City trades for a SS prospect as Bobby Witt Jr files for free agency.

So, Witt Jr is a free agent. Along with Othani and Lopez.

I made an opening offer that I thought was fair ... and he liked it.

Next communication is that our offer is the best one so far.

New York comes in with a better offer.

So, I counter to what had to be better than NY, and Witt's happy.

Then this ...

While it doesn't make for a good story ... Philly can have him.
