July 21-23, 2034: vs Toronto (3)
Game 1: 5-3 W. WP-Buckman (10-6, 6 3 2 2 3 7). S-R.Rodriguez (18). HR-Soto (2/12), Pino (19). Rays took the opener of their huge series with the Jays and Soto finally contributed with a sac fly and 2-run homer to lead the offense while Buckman was solid.
Game 2: 3-1 W. WP-Najera (10-4, 7 4 1 0 1 9). S-Ogando (4). HR-Rutschman (13), Cedillos (6). Najera was brilliant and all three runs came on homers with Cedillos' 2-run blast in the 5th the difference.
Game 3: 7-3 W. WP-Lennon (9-7, 7.2 2 0 0 1 9). HR-Pino 3 (22). It was the Jose Pino show as the star 2B belted homers in his first three at-bats driving in four, before walking in the 8th with a chance to make history. His heroics overshadowed a dominant Lennon performance as the Rays swept the series and moved into a first-place tie with Toronto.
Team record: 56-44. They're actually in a 3-way tie for first because Boston swept the Yankees as well. Next up: The Angels come to town for 3 games.
