CYL Now a League of 132
The Commonwealth Youth League has welcomed 16 more teams and two new divisions, the North Region's Etahn Allen Division and the South Region's Thomas Mayhew Division.
Most of the new teams joined the new divisions, but there were some movements and four teams joining pre-existing divisions in the NR's Longfellow Division and the SR's Bradberton Division.
Teams joining the NR's Longfellow Division are the Ogunquit Trolls and the Old Orchard Sandstalkers. In the Bradberton Division, the new teams are the Pittsfield Festies and Lee Aisons.
New members of the Allen Division are the Bennington Zappers, Wilmington Snowmounts, Brattleboro Banshees, Keene Quills, North Adams Miners, and Greenfield Glowcaps. The Manchester Rocketeers and Nashua Zoologists also joined the Allen Division. Both of those teams were in the W.E.B. DuBois Division in 2316.
In the Mayhew Division, the teams joining are the Nantucket Marsh Hawks, Martha's Vineyard Fleet, Naushon Island Radsharks, Falmouth Cool Beans, Oak Bluffs Hoppers, and Marion Howlers.The New Bedford Whales and Wareham Comets moved from the Crispus Attucks and Samuel Morse divisions, respectively, to joing the Mayhew.
The Sherwood Manor Sasquatch are now going by the town name of Enfield (CT) Sasquatch. The Brown Bubblers ceased operation out of the Brown University campus because of the university's expanded higher education offereings in Providence and a new state-of-the-art facility being built near Murray Stadium. Players for the Bubblers joined the Woonsocket (RI) Orphans for the 2317 season.
