Week 13 – June 7th – Wacha Goes the Distance in First Series Game Against Seattle
Wacha tossed an incredible game tonight! He threw a complete game in front of the home crowd to start this home series against Seattle! We are now even with them for the season so far at two apiece. When we got to the 7th inning stretch, I asked Wacha how he was feeling out there, and he thought he could go the whole game since he was just under 80 pitches and had the stamina to throw well over 110 pitches. I didn’t even warm up the bullpen until the top of the 9th, and that was just in case he got into trouble quickly, but that didn't happen.
I’m so happy to get this win tonight, and Wacha deserves player of the game and the final out ball. It’s nice to win!
