The Two Bill Swifts
The second Bill Swift (BS2) spent 13 years in the Majors from 1985 to 1998, pitching for the Mariners, Giants, and Rockies, returning to Seattle for his final season. Like BS1, he appears to have been a journeyman pitcher whose record and ERA were average and who could throw a lot of innings. In 1993, BS2 won 21 games and finished second for the NL Cy Young Award, pitching for San Francisco. However, in no other season did he record more than 11 victories. His stats and bios follow.
