A solid 13-7 run of games have us still just 2 1/2 behind the Expos and 2 behind the Braves. We are hanging with 2 really really good teams thanks to the pitching.
We are 3rd in the NL allowing less than 4 runs a game, which is needed since we are still just 12th in runs. We are still without Varnell and the players we are using to fill in are not hitting well. Varnell will be back in a week and hopefully he can give the team a boost.
