After several disappointing extra-innings losses, this was a pleasant outcome to be able to jump out to an early lead and cruise to victory. In moving back to 10 games over .500, the Boston Red Sox (62-52) topped the Kansas City Royals (67-50) by an 8 to 1 score.

Of Note, Crawford was named as MLB's 3rd best Performance of the Day.
