Brady Singer has been HOT these last few starts. He’s now under 4.00 ERA at 3.98 with 5 wins and 2 no-decisions in his last 7 games. I’ll take that as positive for this month.

The Kansas City Royals knocked off the Miami Marlins, 7-3, in American League action at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City pitcher and Leesburg, Florida, native Brady Singer had an outstanding performance. The winner was Singer. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Eury Perez. Kansas City is 35-47, and Miami, with the loss, is 37-42. Nick Gordon tried to get his team back in the game. With Miami trailing 7-0 in the top of the 6th, Gordon hit a bases-clearing double. But the Royals held on to get the win.

"Gordon had a good at-bat," said manager Skip Schumaker. "We could have used a few more like it."
