Cards news: Sept. 30 -- 3B Nolan Gorman agrees to three-year deal
The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to a three-year contract extension with third baseman Nolan Gorman worth $35.4 million.
After missing much of last season with thumb injury, the 28-year-old Gorman has established himself as the Cardinals starting third baseman this season.
In 139 games/134 starts, Gorman has hit .242 with 23 home runs and 75 RBIs.
For his career, Gorman has hit .235 with 156 home runs and 437 RBIs in 795 games/744 starts.
The Cardinals own a team option to the third season of the contract.
