This was a good win, but that’s all. I might even say it was a lucky win since Wacha struggled through 5.0 IPs, and I had to run through the bullpen again. However, I think it’s been a good decision to move Schrieber to middle relief and make Bernardino the closer.

Game Summary – June 28th – Fry Excels, But Royals Win
The Cleveland Guardians got a superb performance from designated hitter David Fry, but the Kansas City Royals still won the game, 8-4. Fry went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Michael Wacha, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 4 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 3-8. Kansas City is now 36-49, while Cleveland is 40-42. First Baseman Vinnie Pasquantino made an impact for Kansas City when he swatted a run-scoring double off Gavin Williams in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Pasquantino went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Pasquantino.
We got a great mid-inning rally from Pasquatch and MJ to give us some insurance runs for the win. I'm just happy we won tonight.
