The offense thumped the remainder-Barves for a dozen, which doesn't mean the pen didn't give it an honest go at blowing the game after McLean went seven and gave up just two runs. Garrett gave up two in the eighth, and the worst deadline acquisition I've ever seen, Helsley, was beaten around for three more in the ninth, and Boom-Boom had to put his pants back on. Great job.
