The Jones boys also said they don't try to circumvent the agent. They only talk to players that are willing. Jerry always pays his top talent. This is the one case he didn't. There's probably a good reason for that.

The years and amount is just the car's frame. The agent is the mechanic that can tell u what is under the hood. I don't think JJ is lying. But I don't think he was circumventing the agent for benign reasons. But as I said B4, I agree with trading him when the team isnt SB caliber. SB is the goal. If u arent a true contender, then use your assets to collect more future assets so you can be SB caliber. He didnt make the mistake the Panthers did by holding onto Brian Burns instead of taking 2 1st rounders from the Rams.
