Historical Career Replays - Missing WWII Seasons

I'm trying to figure out how best to handle the Missing WWII Seasons of a player when running a career league and wanting to have him play.

Scenario: take someone like Ted Williams, Johnny Mize or Joe D and drop him as a rookie onto a 1970 team. I know how to do that within the game. I also know how to toggle the setting to allow them to play in missing seasons. The question is how to get the most realistic results for their missing 1943-45 season.

I know the setting for Recalc to do it based on 3 years. So 1943 would be based on 1942+1943+1944. I don't know how having two 0 seasons would impact that, and if it ends up as something realistic.

More than that, when you get to their 1944 season, it's surrounded by 0 seasons for 1943 & 1945. Wondering what the impact for that would be.

Hank Greeberg looks like an even more problematic one as his 1941 season was just 83 PA, 1942-44 were 0 seasons, and 1945 was a half season.

In the other direction, Musial is a little easier he had just one missing season, similar to Willie Mays if I did a run with one of them.

Have any of the historical gamers/experts have a method to get satisfactory results?

Just through having one of them, most likely Williams, in a 1970-1993 replay would be kind of a fun change of pace.

Thanks!
