Well, when you have BS in a union, you do something about it. The players don't realize how much power they actually have.
Also, a lot of these contracts are backloaded, knowing the player will probably never see that money. A contract that never would have been written that way had it been fully guaranteed.
My opinion is just based on what's better for the game. If there was no salary cap, I couldn't care less if they had all guaranteed contracts.
