Arrow Game 122: Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles

Much to the displeasure of the 45,618 fans in attendance, this was a much better outcome for the visitors! The Boston Red Sox (66-56) jumped out to a quick lead and cruised to a 10 to 3 win over the Baltimore Orioles (68-55).

Tanner Houck (13-8) was good enough to see this end up in the W column, as he allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, 2 walks, and a hit batsman while striking out 3 in 6 2/3 innings; Game Score 51. Anthony Gose pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless ball to wrap up the game. The Red Sox were led at the plate by Masataka Yoshida (3 for 5, Double, Homerun, 2 Runs, 3 RBI), Kyle Teel (3 for 5, Double, Run, 2 RBI), Tristan Casas (1 for 3, Homerun, Run, 2 RBI, 2 Walks, Stolen Base), and Marcelo Mayer (2 for 5, Double, 2 Runs).

Baltimore starter Kyle Bradish (12-5) took the loss after giving up 6 earned runs on 9 hits, 1 walk, and 1 wild pitch while striking out 4 in 6 1/3 innings; Game Score 34. Reliever Keegan Akin was knocked around for 3 earned runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings of work. Yennier Cano pitched the final 2/3 innings but did allow 1 earned run on 2 hits and 1 wild pitch. Gunner Henderson (2 for 5, 2 Doubles, 2 Runs) and Coby Mayo (2 for 3, Double, 2 RBI, Walk) were solid at the plate.
