This team has never communicated any roadmap or updates to their customers whereas the other hockey sim had already revealed all features for the upcoming edition about a month ago and started allowing its customers to beta test it at the end of August.
Unless FHM12 has some clear improvements that customers have been requesting and fixes that have been brought up year after year, its hard to say how much longer it will be around. The large price increase for FHM11 in my opinion was done to try and counter the loss of sales (due to ignoring customers and adding new features while leaving many issues in the core gameplay loop).

You can notice it on Reddit where the competition started out with less subscribers at the start of FHM11 release and now has ~600 more than FHM has.
I'm waiting for FHM12 but if its just more of the same pattern then that'll be it for me.
