Expos Rookie Tyler Dean 3-for-4 in Win

Montreal Expos stormed past the
Detroit Trains, 13-5, at Comerica Park.
Montreal center fielder
Tyler Dean , who is considered the best prospect in baseball by BNN, led the hit parade. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. For the season, he is batting .381-3-6 1.244OPS 0.5WAR in 6 games.
Dan Hinton, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 10. His record now stands at 1-1. The loss has the
Trains at 5-1.
Ignacio Benavides had a big 2-run double for the
Expos in the top of the second inning. With
Montreal leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from
Seth Dykstra and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put
the
Expos ahead, 4-0.

Nadeau hit a splitter from
Brett Asselin for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the
Trains ahead, 4-0.
Montreal manager Aaron McCreery called the blowout loss "ugly." In more bad news, infielder
Robby Weltzer left the game with what seems to be a back injury.

Montreal used a superb performance from starting pitcher
Sam Griffin to down the
Cincinnati Eagles, 3-1, in 10 innings. He worked seven scoreless innings of 3-hit, 4 walk and 4 strikeout ball.
The loss drops
Cincinnati to 3-4.
Joe Hawk provided a timely hit. The
Montreal pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the
Expos on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

Murrietta, now 2-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7.
Cincinnati drops to 3-5.
Gabriel Cervantes had a big 2-run home run for the

Montreal leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a curveball from 2017 Pitcher of the Year Award winner
Ramon Ruedas and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the
Expos on top, 3-0.

Montreal Expos topped the
Cincinnati Eagles, 6-1, in Eastern League action at Eagles Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of
Montreal pitcher
Juan Miranda. The loss lowers the
Cincinnati record to 3-6.
Montreal used the hitting of
Julian Hernandez to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the
Expos on top, 4-0. For the game,
Hernandez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Miranda told a Montreal Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win. He pitched 8.1 strong innings of 1-run ball and collected his first win of the season.
