Ty Johnson was outstanding over 5.1 innings, surrendering 0 runs on just 3 hits. Top of the 6th, DeLatuer doubled and was knocked in by Pete Brace, giving the Shires a 1-0 lead.rookie Cain entered the game and finished off the 6th without issue. Matt McLain hit his 1st HR as a member of the StL ballclub, putting them up 2-0.

In the bottom of the 7th Cain would get into a little trouble and loaded the bases. Amendt came in and immediately walked in a run before giving up a grand slam.
