Montreal Expos used the hitting of center fielder
Tyler Dean to subdue the
Boston Aeros, 14-6. For the game,

The
Boston Aeros beat the
Montreal Expos, 4-1, at Olympic Stadium. The win was due in part to right fielder
Kurt Alexander, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
Eric Brooks picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 2-0. The win gives
Boston a record of 8-3.
In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, the
Expos allowed the
Aeros to take a 3-1 lead on a base hit and
Montreal error.
Alexander told a Boston Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win. The 3x All-Star is batting .475-5-12 1.438OPS 1.1WAR in 11 games.

Expos Win Extra-inning Affair, 6-5, in 13
It was pandemonium at Olympic Stadium after an exciting walk-off win.
The
Montreal Expos faced a tough opponent in
Boston pitcher
Steve Behanna, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Olympic Stadium by a final score of 6-5.
Behanna went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. The loss makes
Boston 8-4.
Montreal got a knockout punch from
Dave Grochowski. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome. The 2022 EL Rookie of the Year is batting .291-2-10 .783OPS 0.2WAR in 13 games.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Aaron McCreery, the
Montreal skipper.

Perez hit a fastball from
Vince Wilkens for a 2-run home run. The

McMahon delivered a quality start for
